    Network Guide

The Myka is a fully functional network device which can be accessed in numerous ways over your home network.  For virtually all of these methods, you will need to know the IP address of your Myka, which can be found by navigating to the Tools menu on your Myka box and selecting Network.

    • To access your drive directly from a Windows machine, enter \\MYKA.IP.ADDRESS\share (ex. \\192.168.1.103\share) into an Explorer window.  The username is nmt and the password is 1234.
    • The Myka is equipped with an FTP server. To access it, point your FTP client to your Myka's IP address.  The username is ftpuser and the password is 1234.
    • The Myka is also equipped with a telnet server.  Again, just telnet to the Myka's IP address.  You will not need a password.
    • You can access Myka's BitTorrent manager can be accessed from any computer on your home network.  Just enter http://MYKA.IP.ADDRESS:8077/ (ex. http://192.168.1.103:8077/) in your browser window.  The username is nmt and the password is 1234.
    • When putting files on to the Myka from another computer, they must be placed in the DOWNLOAD directory in order for the Myka to be able to play them.
